“Tinubu’s visit to Accra comes as a response to the invitation extended by the Ghanaian President-elect,” revealed Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. In a statement signed on Sunday, Onanuga emphasized the cordial relationship shared between the two leaders and their respective nations.
Ghanaian President-elect Mahama Extends Invitation to Tinubu
The statement titled “President Tinubu to Attend the Inauguration of John Mahama, President-elect of Ghana” underscores the significance of the event. Mahama, who previously held office as Ghana’s 12th president from 2011 to 2017, was re-elected during the December 2024 elections. He will officially succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo, who has served from 2017 to 2025.
